My Windows 2000 box got Configure.PL errors before I scrapped the directory and checked out a clean copy. I would have expected the tinderboxen to download clean copies by default. In case anyone cares, the errors I got were: No such file: config/auto/alignptrs/test_c.in No such file: docs/dev/byteorder.dev No such file: docs/dev/dod.dev No such file: docs/dev/rx.dev No such file: languages/perl6/MANIFEST No such file: languages/perl6/Makefile No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Addcontext.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Builtins.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Context.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/IMCC.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Nodes.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Parser.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/TestCompiler.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Tree.pm No such file: languages/perl6/P6C/Util.pm No such file: languages/perl6/README No such file: languages/perl6/mkdistro.sh No such file: languages/perl6/prd-perl6.pl No such file: languages/perl6/t/compiler/1.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/compiler/2.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/compiler/3.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/compiler/4.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/compiler/5.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/P6CTest.pm No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/README No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/basic.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/exe2.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/exe3.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/exe4.t No such file: languages/perl6/t/parser/similar.t No such file: lib/Parse/RecDescent.pm Checking MANIFEST... Ack, some files were missing! I can't continue running without everything here. Please try to find the above files and then try running Configure again. I didn't write this up or try to figure out what was wrong because a clean checkout fixed it. I don't consider it an error: this type of thing just happens sometimes. I should have loaded a clean directory to start with. mma > -----Original Message----- > From: David M.
