Maybe it's a corollary of Murphy's Law: 
    If it can conceivably be done by Damian, sooner or later
    someone will say Damian should do it.

Nah.  How about a corollary to Larry's first law of language
[reimplementation]:
    Everyone wants Damian to do it.
