Does the planet not have a way of including a diagram in a document
without resorting to HTTP?

It might be very tempting but will it not make things more fragile?

The problem I see with URLs all the time is built-in obsolescence.
Can't seem to read online docs anywhere thesedays without running
into a bunch of dead links.
