Chase Whitener has taken over and, just a couple of days ago, posted that he's still working on getting 5.34 and 5.36 strawberry releases made - and confident of doing so. Building perl itself is easy on Windows - but Strawberry Perl undertakes to additionally provide a wide range of C libraries (eg GD, GMP and OPenSSL), along with some of the perl extensions that utilize the provided C libraries.
