Questions to all proponents of Strict-By-Default
Message ID:
The plan as has been stated then (and now restated with changes that don't change the effects) will break a great number of things, both in direct execution of perl code as well as in read/write operations on perl code outside the interpreter.

An incomplete list includes significant parts of CPAN, DarkPAN, StackOverflow, old Perl tutorials, old Perl books, IDEs, PPI, Perl::Critic, syntax highlighters, other static analysers, inclusion in Linux distros. There is more.

Many have enumerated such in emails, blog posts, chats, plethora. There is a lot.

Do you agree or disagree those things will break?

If yes: Why do you think that's acceptable?

If no: Why do you think they won't break?

With regards,
Christian Walde
