With respect, i think the main issue here is not the names on the list, or whether everyone's input was fully respected.
It appears from your original email that, whether intentionally or not, the original wording makes it appear that ether was a full, knowing, and approving part of the decisions that led to the original announcement. Her response however appears to indicate she was touched by the matter only tangentially.
This i feel is an important distinction as a lot of people with opinions on this might form opinions on ether, or other people you listed, that are unwarranted.
