True.

I do maintain a non-trivial number of "dual-life" and CPAN River-like
modules on CPAN which use prototypes, and I am definitely keen to
ensure they continue to work on 5.18 and before.

Right now List::UtilsBy has a *large* following of downstream users and
works perfectly fine even back as far as 5.8.1. It would be a great
disappointment to me if that stopped.
