5.30.2/RC1 works fine on my smoke boxes. *un*threaded installs all
required CPAN modules from my base set without problems. On threaded
perls I need to run cpan twice, as the first run stops with
Reading 1 yaml file from /media/Tux/perls-t/cpan/build/
Can't call method "can" on unblessed reference at /media/Tux/perls-t/lib/5.30.2/CPAN/Index.pm line 177.
the second run is flawless
