This immediate bug has been fixed by 49dd909f But since we hadn't had an EBCDIC test bed since late in the 5.27 development series, other bugs have crept in. This commit gets miniperl to compile, but there are a bunch of failures in minitest. And the make won't compile the modules to make a full perl, failing in ways that are mysterious to me, who knows little about the way this works.
