Perl 5.22.4-RC1 is now available!
Message ID:
As soon as Wolf began to feel
That he would like a decent meal,
He went and knocked on Grandma's door.
When Grandma opened it, she saw
The sharp white teeth, the horrid grin,
And Wolfie said, 'May I come in?'
  Poor Grandmamma was terrified,
'He's going to eat me up!' she cried.
  And she was absolutely right.
He ate her up in one big bite.

We are delighted to announce the first release candidate of version
22.4, the fourth maintenance release of version 22 of Perl 5.

You will soon be able to download Perl 5.22.4-RC1 from your favourite
CPAN mirror or find it at:

SHA1 digests for this release are:

  0f04c5a108eb6e77c5556d05a86d089f802271d8 perl-5.22.4-RC1.tar.gz
  242ca43cec59e8a3b98d064ae76e7b1ff2ae150c perl-5.22.4-RC1.tar.bz2
  295780ace2116949148c523a876e8c4b4d6baced perl-5.22.4-RC1.tar.xz

You can find a full list of changes in the file "perldelta.pod" located
in the "pod" directory inside the release and on the web.

***Please, please, please*** test your code against perl-5.22.4-RC1.
This is your last chance to point out any critical regressions before
v5.22.4 ships "for real," and we'd rather fix things for v5.22.4 than
for v5.22.5!

The final v5.22.4 is expected to ship within the next fortnight.
