Let's be clear for the unaware reader : a flag has been added to the 
core to disable taint mode in the past, but it's neither documented nor 
officially supported. It's very possible that the core has diverged 
enough since then that it doesn't build any more with this flag enabled. 
If you're using it, you're completely on your own.
