5.10 changed the implementation of fields, and AFAIK that didn''t set the
world on fire. I'm sure we can do that again. For that matter I don't see
any reason why we'd need to break the Hash::Util API either.

Locked hashes as a primitive have failed, that doesn't mean they have
failed as an end-user feature.
