I agree with that. I have tried working on a branch that had this but
paused, I don't remember why. Probably because I was bitten by issues
about which Nicholas warned me.

Anyway, with Nicholas blessing (and probably with his assistance), we
could move it. I'm afraid Nicholas knows far more on the complexity or
ease of it, and we might need to wait indeed for some of those tasks to
clear up before we could hoist it into dist/. I defer to Nicholas
regarding this.
