No, that would be dreadful.  The same issues about ~~ lhs overloading
would apply to when overloading.  The language would also be less
comprehensible by virtue of having these two slightly different matching
facilities.  Given our problem of an overcomplex language feature,
splitting it so that we have two overcomplex language features isn't a
step forward.
