I'm hoping to roll out RC1 of 5.22.1 on Saturday 31st, pending a small number more votes being cast for the remaining cherry-picking candidates. One of the proposals (the changes to fix perl #126319) is slightly controversial. Karl has already emailed about it here: http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.perl5.porters/2015/10/msg232151.html . I'm currently intending to include it unless significant views to the contrary are aired. There is also a slight question over the fix for perl #126222. Myself and two other committers have voted for it, but Yves has raised a question over whether the fix might have a performance impact and had hoped to revisit it to check if it did. Unless this question can be answered in time then I'm inclined to play it safe and leave this fix out since it's such an old regression (introduced in 5.10.0) anyway. SteveThread Next
