This is a bug report for perl from the.rob.dixon@gmail.com,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.40 running under perl 5.22.0.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

perlvar has this to say about the @_ array

> Inside a subroutine, @_ is the default array for the array operators
> "push", "pop", "shift", and "unshift".

This is true only for `pop` and `shift`: there is no way to let the
array parameter of `push` and `unshift` go to default.

The fix is a simple one

> Inside a subroutine, @_ is the default array for the array operators
> "pop" and "shift".
