Before building perl run:

  "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\vc\bin\vcvars32.bat"

*including* the quotes.

Clean the build with:

  git clean -dxf

if you need to (you usually need to if you modified headers).

Then:

  cd win32
  nmake CCTYPE=MSVC100FREE test-prep

or whatever target you want.
