Reini, FC stated pretty clearly that he thought you had misunderstood what
the SVf_PROTECT bit  does, to the extent that he thought you had it
completely backwards.

If that is not correct then you would save us all a lot of grief if you
could take the time to explain why you think otherwise, and what you think
is wrong with it, in terms that an uninformed person could understand.
