I edited that sentence twice, and somehow it came out opposite of what I meant to say. I do not think the vision is "no real changes". I think that there are a small minority who like that idea. I think the rest are in the "no changes that seriously impact back-compat or disrupt the ecosystem". IOW, conservative, but open minded to non disruptive changes.
