This is a bug report for perl from leonerd@leonerd.org.uk,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.39 running under perl 5.18.1.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
[Please describe your issue here]

It seems that 'sort' is special to the parser:

 <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ sort 1,2,3 ]
 <perlbot> LeoNerd: [1,2,3]

 <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ sort( 1,2,3 ) ]
 <perlbot> LeoNerd: [1,2,3]

 <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ ::sort( 1,2,3 ) ]
 <perlbot> LeoNerd: ERROR: DIE DIE DIE at (eval 1833) line 1.

Deparse doesn't maintain this special property:

 <LeoNerd> perlbot: deparse sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ ::sort( 1,2,3 ) ]
 <perlbot> LeoNerd:  [sort(1, 2, 3)];

This latter example probably ought to yield

   [main::sort(1, 2, 3)]
