Might I suggest a patch, with a good perldelta-style commit message :), to somewhere that other people who don't contribute regularly and might otherwise miss (or forget about) this email might be reasonably expected to look? For example, I'm slowly trying to come up with a patch for one of my old bug reports. I don't do this very often. So, I need to find a pod file with advice. The best I've found is perlgit, so that's where I'm looking. Adding this recommendation for commit messages, especially if it includes _how_ to submit those commit changes as part of the patch email (I didn't realise at first that some would take my patch email as-is and make that the commit message), would be highly welcomed by those with short memories like me :) Also, I think there are references to commit messages in perlgit already that don't necessarily live up to this standard. And that may make sense for examples, but linking to a section that describes rules for commit messages and how this is just an example... may be a nice change, too.
