I suggest that actually you should first check whether the code in them has
been merged into blead.

Check out the branch, run `git rebase blead`, and if that reports no
conflicts and "nothing to be done", then the branch is finished with.

In that, I deleted one of the other branches that you mentioned, because the
ticket was marked resolved, but I had forgotten that we were following up
the solution with a better solution. So the *bug* *was* resolved, but there
was more work.

(When I came back to the bug I was very confused as to where the relevant
branch had gone. I didn't immediately correlate it with "oh, that thing I
deleted because the computer told us it wasn't needed". I retrieved it by
git commit hash)
