[perl #117967] 5.18.0 RC1 test failure on MacOSX 10.8.3
Message ID:
rt-3.6.HEAD-2650-1368363724-1802.117967-15-0@perl.org
Cleaning up the forwarded report and re-posting:

I got a test failure on MacOSX 10.8.3:

ext/GDBM_File/t/fatal .........................................
FAILED--non-zero wait status: 4

Following the directions in INSTALL I then ran:

% ./perl harness ../ext/GDBM_File/t/fatal.t
../ext/GDBM_File/t/fatal.t .. All 8 subtests passed

Test Summary Report
-------------------
../ext/GDBM_File/t/fatal.t (Wstat: 4 Tests: 8 Failed: 0)
Non-zero wait status: 4
Files=1, Tests=8, 0 wallclock secs ( 0.01 usr 0.01 sys + 0.02 cusr 0.00
csys = 0.04 CPU)
Result: FAIL

And then I ran:

% ./perl -MTestInit ext/GDBM_File/t/fatal.t
1..8
ok 1 - use GDBM_File;
ok 2 - Can find next available file descriptor
ok 3 - Check that we cannot open fileno 3. $! is Bad file descriptor
ok 4 - The object isa GDBM_File
ok 5 - dup fileno 3
ok 6 - close fileno 3, out from underneath the GDBM_File
ok 7 - Trapped error when attempting to write to knobbled GDBM_File
ok 8 - expected error message from GDBM_File
Illegal instruction
