Besides, even if it were true - look at whom you cc'ed. Yep, the person who, long ago, showed definite lack of respect for my work and tried to threaten me to do his work for him, for free, while treading me, well, "unfriendly" to use an euphemism. So, while I respect the work of others, I wouldn't be surprised if that respect would be slowly eroded by the behaviour I get in return. Why measure me with higher standards than others? If at all, I should be praised for not going down to that level, but I make no illusions of that (and I don't like, nor care, for praise). If you have any grain of integrity in you, then think about that. Maybe even research history a bit. Then you will see I am right. Sure that sounds arrogant, but after people telling me my code is shoddy because investing more than half my waking life into it is not enough (while they invest a lot less, and with far worse results) and that I have to support every single compiler out there, no matter how old and superceded it is, there is little left to me. I will continue to provide quality software that is useful for an enourmous number of perl users despite what some freaks think of it. I'm doing it for the users, not for them. -- The choice of a Deliantra, the free code+content MORPG -----==- _GNU_ http://www.deliantra.net ----==-- _ generation ---==---(_)__ __ ____ __ Marc Lehmann --==---/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / schmorp@schmorp.de -=====/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\Thread Previous | Thread Next
