There have also been places where, based on coverage analysis, I've been able to make some small improvements to the pure-Perl implementation. Steffen Mueller and Ricardo Signes have been following the progress of this work. The code is now ready to be merged. It's currently sitting in this smoke-testing branch: smoke-me/jkeenan/data-dumper-testing (v5.17.8-48-gce23a39) I plan to merge this into blead in 5 to 7 days, unless someone has a serious objection.
