The last mention I found of someone experianced compiling WinCE Perl is in 2007, in http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.perl5.porters/2007/10/msg129386.html , last attempt with an unexperienced person was in 2008 and it failed, http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.perl5.porters/2008/07/msg138601.html those are the only 2 posts about WinCE on www.nntp.perl.org I was able to Google up since 2005. Has anyone tried compiling WinCE Perl? Does it have any maintainers or porters? Last commit was in 2006 http://perl5.git.perl.org/perl.git?a=search&h=9fb265f7d587e571375a3a5fdb05c24fd9d10d91&st=commit&s=wince . I just remembered I have a WM 2003 SE phone in my closet I haven't used for a couple years, I wonder if it will take less or more than a month to run Perl's test suite. Or is someone with a license of X86 WinCE in VM the only realistic way to create a smoker for the platform? It would be sad to see this port get removed, but it seems to be heading down that path :-(
