This is a bug report for perl from perl-diddler@tlinx.org,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.39 running under perl 5.14.2.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
[Please describe your issue here]
The example for semget shows a check of status dying with
a "shmget" (shared memory) message -- and the print immediately
below it also uses shm key, likely semget and sem key was intended..
2 plces that I see:
near text:
           Here's an example of a semaphore:

           use IPC::SysV qw(IPC_CREAT);

           $IPC_KEY = 1234;
           $id = semget($IPC_KEY, 10, 0666 | IPC_CREAT);
           defined($id)                    || die "shmget: $!";
           print "shm key $id\n";

       Put this code in a separate file to be run in more than one process.
       Call the file take:

           # create a semaphore

           $IPC_KEY = 1234;
           $id = semget($IPC_KEY, 0, 0);
           defined($id)                    || die "shmget: $!";

           $semnum  = 0;
