Thanks for checking this.

I wasn't even aware that there was a list perl-documentation (Although I
guess I must have been once, and have forgotten it, as I'm subscribed to it)

I'm not quite sure where the split should be between this list and
perl5-porters, but I think that these particular questions that you raise
belong on perl5-porters because they are about what gets installed, which is
definitely part of the build process.

But does this matter? Is there anything in README.vms that relates to
the installed perl? I thought that it was about just building and
installing perl, and that all the information about running perl was
only in pod/perlvms.pod

I don't think that we should be installing README.micro. It's only about
building microperl, and doesn't contain anything related to an installed
perl.
