On my systems, less -R is the default in Configure, and yet every time
Configure gets to that section, it complains it can't find the file.
It seems that spaces in paths are accepted literally as well, so
there's no way to distinguish between spaces within the path and
spaces that separate the path and the argument without testing for
each (currently). I thought I'd seen this on the list before, but
can't seem to find it - is there an open bug for this?
