For me, most important fact is that the current manual page is very bad:
incomplete and incorrect. We can support people who know/need POSIX
functionality far better than we do.

When the XS part of some POSIX extensions on CPAN are included into
POSIX.xs as part of core, then those modules will become available on
more systems, for instance on all system which do not have a C compiler.
