[perl #95550] stat and lstat have incorrect prototypes

Both stat and lstat have prototypes of (*), but perlfunc says:

       stat FILEHANDLE
       stat EXPR
       stat DIRHANDLE
       stat    Returns a 13−element list giving the status info for a file,
               either the file opened via FILEHANDLE or DIRHANDLE, or named by
               EXPR.  If EXPR is omitted, it stats $_.  Returns a null list if
               the stat fails.  Typically used as follows:

Since the exact behaviour cannot be replicated by a Perl sub (expr and handle being indistinguishable), should the proto be undef?
