I did and my proposals were not accepted.
For the refusal of this patch or discussed variants
were no convincing arguments at all.

Anyway, I have no idea how you want that to be fixed.
My users need this regression to be fixed in a foreseeable timeframe.

This is e.g. not convincing as creating a well-behaved API to store cop labels
is already done. It's also utf-ready and does not expose hek's.
