who uses attributes?

Is it true that attributes are still considered experimental?

Does anything use them, and if so, for what?

It looks like the :locked sub attribute has been removed, having
been a pthreads thing not an ithreads thing.

Does :method do anything at all beyond quashing a certain warning?

What's the deal with :lvalue subs? They are still used, right?

What about with my/state/our?  All can take them, right? 
And there are no builtins/predefined attrs for those, right?
The only reference I can see is the old fields stuff, with
killed pseudohashes.

I seem to recall there being CPAN modules that make use of attributes.
