Hey! I few years ago now, i reported having perl 5.8.8 running on interix. Since 5.8.8 finally left gentoo-prefix' ebuild tree, i was forced to finally look into building the most recent version available from gentoo prefix for interix. it turned out, that the patch was rather trivial, and i thought i might bring it upstream this time :) it seems that simply adding "firstmakefile=GNUmakefile" to hints/interix.sh resolves all build related issues (as the fs on interix is case sensitive). any chance to get this upstream? i tested it with perl 5.12.3, and it worked fine.
