Because in fact I understood other deprecations like the empty attributes which need to be cleared before := can appear. I was kind of triggered by the prominent ?PATTERN? thing and the huge effort I had with deprecations in unknown people's code in the past with deprecations whose urgency I did not understand, like the defined %hash thingie. Sorry for the generalisation. (I am still concerned about ?PATTERN? anyway, because I can't imagine another Camel book edition for a while, so the feature is still a prominent one.)
