Mentioning sponsors in the source code?

Hi,

similar to the AUTHORS file I wonder if it would be right to collect
the companies and individuals that in some way other than patches
contributed to the development of perl?

e.g. a SPONSORS file that would contain names of
companies and individuals that contributed money or developer time
or other resources.
