IPv6 in core - Socket::GetAddrInfo and IO::Socket::IP

I notice it's 2010, and there's still not a shred of any code that can
handle IPv6 shipping in the Perl core.

I'd like, therefore, to volunteer two modules of mine for the purpose

I'd be happy for either or both to become dual-life, and ship with a
Perl code tarball.

What might I have to do to work towards this goal?
