I opened RT#77384 about this, but there isn't an agreement yet about
what's to be done (if anything). At some point I'd like to see if
there's some way to preserve the desired section of the change (not
needlessly stringifying exceptions when they get converted to warnings
due to G_KEEPERR) without losing useful information the rest of the
time, but it may be a while before I get a chance.
