This is a bug report for perl from perlbug@plan9.de,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.39 running under perl 5.10.1.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
[Please describe your issue here]

I am not sure what the purpose of SIG_PENDING_DIE_COUNT and correspondign
code is, but the value (120) is *way* too low.

This means that, when your process is busy but needs to catch e.g. SIGINT,
then 3-4s of pressing ctrl-c will simply exit perl, which I personally
find hardly professional (and could even have security implications as
this is rather extreme action-at-a-distance - at least 18 years of perl
and unix development didn't prepare me for sudden death of a program that
relies on catching sigint in crucial moments).

I have no idea how else to argue my case, but please consider increasing
it to something more reasonable, such as 1e9 or so (that will catch the
weird signal-catching loop), or consider removing the code - since signals
are external, I don't see why perl should panic when something else
signals it multiple times.

Thanks for reading this :)
