Yes, but from a Perl advocacy point of view it is nice to be able to say:

    See, Perl is such an integral part of the NYT systems that they went
    all the way of creating a kick-ass profiler for it.

So even if the NYT didn't care about the attribution anymore (I have no
idea if they do or don't), it would still be beneficial for the Perl
world to keep it, IMO.
