I'm actually quite happy to remove people's option to "do stupid" with it. And if they say "but I need Devel::DProf", then the answer is "don't upgrade your core perl". Sort of like pseudohashes, or anything else that came out from core. To try to snare them on a decent profiler, rather than sleepwalking back to the one that they know.
