I updated the complete perl5 metaconfig chain to 3.5 a while back, and while the git repo still contains the 3.0 versions, they are not used anymore at all. They are just in the repo, because it is a straight conversion from perforce. The now used 3.5 files are not in the git repo at all. Though my top-level metaconfig folder holds: metaconfig > l ./ dist@ dist-3.0at70.tbz make-dist.pl* README ../ dist-3.0at70/ dist-3.5-20/ Makefile.PL README_U bin/ dist-3.0at70b/ .git/ metaconfig.html U/ Conf.diff.21 dist-3.0at70b.tbz .gitignore .package U.check/ metaconfig > ll dist 3866637 lrwxrwxrwx 1 merijn users 11 2008-10-17 08:41 dist -> ../lib/dist The README describes how to get started using the original metaconfig package, for which some files are overruled by files in U/modified and a lot were added in several other folders under U.
