The 5.8 branch of perl is not being developed any further. There is no one responsible (nor willing) to backport changes and release further versions in the series. I suppose if sufficient people volunteered for the task, this could be changed, but our current strategy is to focus our limited resources on more recent branches: 5.12.X and bleeding edge development in 5.13 towards 5.14. Currently, there isn't even a champion for a 5.10.2 release. The best way out of this would be to migrate to a newer release of perl. Best regards, SteffenThread Previous | Thread Next
