"Official" announcement that Perl 5.6 is end of life

Hi *,

I think Perl 5.6 is "end of life". A friend of mine asked, if there was 
an "official" announcement for that. Perl 5.8.9 has in its release notes 
the hint, that 5.8.9 is the "end of life" release. Is there such a thing 
for Perl 5.6?

I can see that there is nearly no activity on the maint-5.6 tree...
