What is Yada yada used for?

First of all let me say a big thank you to Jesse and all the people
who worked on releasing 5.12!


and then the question.
I read the docs of the Yada yada operator but from that it is not clear
to me when should I use it? What can I achieve with it?

Could someone please explain?
