'Not QUITE right, I'm afraid,' said Alice, timidly; 'some of the words
have got altered.'
'It is wrong from beginning to end,' said the Caterpillar decidedly,
and there was silence for some minutes.

I've just uploaded the fifth release candidate for Perl 5.12.0 to
PAUSE. Shortly, you'll find it at:
http://search.cpan.org/dist/perl-5.12.0-RC5/
SHA1 sums for this release are:
b3fdb90ff79f2bc1b4ae4ab59e79027cce746408 perl-5.12.0-RC5.tar.bz2
39986c8af837ea4fe82678016eb6a7247bb2f337 perl-5.12.0-RC5.tar.gz
The differences from RC4 are relatively small, consisting primarily of
documentation updates and a fix for a regression Mons Anderson
discovered while testing the release candidate.
It is imperative that you test this release candidate with any software
written in Perl which you use or maintain. Because none of these changes
actually alter the execution of code, I've decided NOT to reset the
release count-down timer.
If no "showstopper" class bugs are found in the next few days, we will
release a virtually identical tarball as Perl 5.12.0 on Monday evening.
You can find a list of errata - known bugs or modules known to be
incompatible with 5.12.0 - at http://dev.perl.org/perl5/errata.html
