"contributed by" in pod dir.

Hi folks,

I don't know if it's necessary for an author to "sign off" each and every line he contributes to the pod, but it sure makes for 
rather stilted reading of the pod dir, and has the insidious side-effect of implying no-one else has contributed to the the 
original material over the last 15 years.  It seems to me that, besides the core Authors/Changes listing, an Author section for a 
major document, and/or a credit where something substantial was undertaken/changed/contributed is quite reasonable naturally, but 
the majority of the continual "contributed by..." below, for each additional paragraph in the FAQs, really feels 
like unnecessary trumpet blowing, and we remove them, please.  Does anyone else feel this way, or is this just an irrational 
reaction on my part about which one should remain respectfully silent?  These 96 (!) mostly ->duplicated<- entries are what I'm 
talking about:
