*After* running the `git config` line?

Well, worst case, just run the command directly:

git log --graph --pretty=oneline --abbrev-commit --decorate

It’s just nicer to have an alias to invoke this with a simple
`git tree`.

Then in a small repository where it doesn’t take that much time
to enumerate the full history, try adding `--all`.

Be advised you’ll need 1.6.0.something or newer for this. Earlier
versions of `git` don’t support the `--graph` switch to `git log`.
