Hi

This is a bug report for perl from npshenoy3@gmail.com,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.35 running under perl v5.8.5.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

printf does not print a warning when a lone "%s" specifier is used
but no corresponding argument is present.

NOK:
$ perl -we 'printf "%s"'
# perl is silent here!

OK:
$ perl -we 'printf "%d"'
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
$ perl -we 'printf "%s%s"'
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
$ perl -we 'printf "%s%s%s"'
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
Use of uninitialized value in printf at -e line 1.
$

Similar behaviour with sprintf as well.
