Perl version is not reflecting please tell me how to set path.

how to setevn on AIX 5.3 i have  2 instances of Oracle running
i will work towards DBI and DBD-Oracle install now..and make
to Oracle from perl scripts...

Thanks for very quick reply....  once perl-5.8.8 install is done i am
working towards DBI and DBD-Oracle install on AIX...
